The video uses footage of Tony Award® winner Kelli O’Hara’s special performance of “Baby in Bethlehem” during The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square’s 2019 Christmas concerts. “Baby of Bethlehem” (also known as “Singing in the Land”) is an African-American spiritual that was included in a 1953 volume of Ruth Crawford Seeger’s American Folk Songs for Christmas. Mack Wilberg’s arrangement retains the carol’s innate innocence and raw simplicity, placing those qualities as the forefront of this performance.
